Keep in mind repeat this mantra silently inside your mind, your mantra should be soft gentle and relaxed. After few minutes stop chanting your mantra and continue your sitting by closing your eyes and start focusing on your breath.
Calm your mind:
When you focus on your breath and mantra it begins to calm your mind but this does not mean it stops your thinking that arises in your mind. So whenever thoughts come in your mind simply keep them aside and return your attention to your mantra and breath.
